MAKUTA was a MASK MAKER who ruled OKOTO with his brother EKIMU, using the elements of the land to create the MASKS OF POWER for the imhabitants. However, MAKUTA soon grew jealous of EKIMU when his masks were more popular than his, leading him to violate a sacred law by creating the mask that combines all of the elements; the MASK OF ULTIMATE POWER. When MAKUTA put on that mask, it took control of him and OKOTO began to fall apart, only for himself to stopped by EKIMU, who knocked the mask off from him, triggering the shockwave that sent two MASK MAKERS into deep slumber.
However, thousands of years later, MAKUTA's evil influence was still active. His influence commanded the SKULL RAIDERS to terrorize OKOTO in order to find and destroy the MASKS OF POWER and the MASK OF CREATION, so he could rise up and rule OKOTO under his reign of darkness and terror. But.....could his goal of ruling OKOTO succeed or will it be stopped by the MASTERS?
Like EKIMU, MAKUTA was the skilled MASK MAKER. But as the OKOTO inhabitants find his masks less favourable, MAKUTA increasenly becomes more bitter and envy that goes far as breaking sacred laws out of anger and jealously. MAKUTA wore a MASK OF CONTROL and briefly the MASK OF ULTIMATE POWER. He carried the hammer, which he used to forge masks.
